That is going to ruin the texture and consistency of the smoothie bowl. We are looking for a soft serve consistency. Start by pulsing the ingredients a few times and stir between each cycle. I found out that using a food processor works better than a blender.

As soon as your smoothie is ready transfer it in a bowl and add your favorite toppings. I added sliced banana, blueberries and coconut chips.

Serve and consume right away. Don’t store leftovers.

For this recipe I used cubed dragon fruit. You can also find it in a purée form. I purchase frozen dragon fruit from Walmart or Sam’s Club. Look in the frozen fruit and vegetable aisle.

  • Food processor, blender


  • 1 ½ cups frozen dragon fruit (pitaya) cubed
  • 1 frozen banana medium size
  • ½ cup milk of choice I used cashew milk


  • blueberries, coconut, banana, seeds, nuts, granola, seeds, nuts


  • Add one and a half cup of frozen dragon fruit, one frozen banana and half a cup of milk of choice. Blend everything together until you have a soft serve consistency.
