Salmon with Citrus Butter Sauce

The recipe for salmon with citrus butter sauce is so easy and fast. It requires minimal effort and it is ready in less than 30 minutes. The actual work you have to do is for no more than ten minutes. You just melt some butter and squeeze some fresh citruses and you have a nice dinner.
One of the best known and loved flavor combinations is fish and lemon. In my recipe I pair the salmon with the most aromatic citrus butter sauce. You know it is good tasting even before you tried it. The citrus, buttery flavor absorbs in the fish during cooking. Every bite is infused with a fresh lemon aroma. When you are serving, drizzle the sauce over the fish. I promise you that you would want to dip every bite into it.
Why should you make it?
Preparing this recipe helps you save time without sacrificing flavor. No matter how busy you get with work, kids and house chores you can always find 10 minutes. That is how much time you need to make this recipe. The oven does the rest for you.
The FDA recommends that you should consume 2-3 servings of fish per week. You should definitely try to prepare this recipe if you feel like you always cook fish the same way. You might impress your loved ones with a tasty and speedy meal.
There are so many benefits of eating salmon. Fish in general is high in essential fatty acids and protein. It is also a good source of selenium and B12. The Omega-3 fatty acids provide great benefits for the nervous system. Eating two servings of fatty fish a week can help improve your skin, cognition and cardiovascular health.

Salmon with Citrus Butter Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pound salmon fillet (or four individual portions)
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 1 lemon juice and zest
- 2 limes juice and zest
- 1 Tbsp honey
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Cut your salmon fillet to four individual portions.
- Preheat the oven to 400F.
- Add the juice and the zest of one lemon and two limes in a saucepan and heat it to medium high. Then add the butter and the honey to the saucepan. Stir until the butter is melted and remove the pan from the stovetop.
- Pour the citrus butter sauce into a deep baking dish. I use a square Pyrex dish that is about 2 quart and its sides are 8 inch long.
- Salt the salmon fillets on both sides.
- Place the salmon skin side up in the baking dish. The flesh of the fish should be dipped in the sauce.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from the baking dish and serve drizzled with the sauce.
