Mint Smoothie Bowl with Chocolate Magic Shell

For the smoothie bowl

  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • ½ cup frozen avocado
  • ½ frozen banana
  • 1 cup fresh baby spinach
  • ½ cup fresh mint leaves
  • 2 pitted dates or maple syrup to taste
  • 4 oz coconut milk from a can

For the magic shell

  • 4 oz chocolate chips of choice
  • 1 tsp coconut oil

Toppings (optional)

  • coconut chips
  • cacao nibs
  • chocolate chips of choice


  • Add the chocolate chip in a microwave safe bowl. Melt it for a minute in the microwave. Add the coconut oil to the melted chocolate and stir well.
  • Add all the ingredients for the smoothie bowl in a powerful blender and blend until smooth and creamy. The consistency should me more like a slightly melted ice cream than a smoothie. Transfer the the mixture to a bowl.
  • Spread a thin layer of the melted chocolate over the smoothie. You have to be fast because it hardens fast.
  • Serve with toppings that you like and enjoy while it is cold.
